Baltimore Orioles pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano earned the first win of his major league career after taking a shutout into the sixth inning in an 8-1 rout of the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. The 35-year-old Japanese right-hander, who exited his MLB debut last Sunday because of cramping in both hands, allowed one run and five hits in 5-1/3 innings at Kauffman Stadium.
