The buyer of Shohei Ohtani’s historic 50th home run ball is a Taiwanese company, Goldin Auctions LLC said Thursday. The ball was sold for a record $4,392,000 in a recent online auction after the Sept. 19 home run in Miami made the Los Angeles Dodger the only player in Major League Baseball history to hit 50 homers and steal 50 bases in a single season. “A lot of people think the baseball is going to Japan.
