Shohei Ohtani stole his 39th base while scoring twice for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Wednesday’s 8-4 win over the Seattle Mariners as he inched toward becoming the sixth Major League Baseball player with 40 steals and 40 home runs in a season. Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout at Dodger Stadium, failing to add to his National League-leading 39 home runs, although he increased his league-leading runs total to 96.
