Baseball: Ohtani 13th in Forbes’ highest-paid athletes ranking

Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers ranked 13th on the world’s highest-paid athletes list released by Forbes magazine Thursday, the only Japanese in the top 50 and the highest from baseball. Five footballers made the top 10, followed by three from basketball, with Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo leading the table for the past 12 months as the Portugal star earned an estimated $260 million, with $200 million of it on the field.
